Marie-Cécile Bodéüs

Associate Lawyer

Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal in 1996 and registered within the Quebec Bar in 1998, she held the position of General Manager of the Association of Syndicates of Co-Ownership of Quebec (ASCQ) from 1998 to 2001.

After a short period at the Ministry of Justice, she joined the co-ownership team at De Grandpré Jolicoeur’s law firm in 2004 and became a partner in 2009.

As a litigation lawyer, Me Bodéüs specializes in co-ownership law in all its aspects, acting moreover, within the framework of her practice as a mediator since 2016 and as an arbitrator since 2017.

In 2020, during the pandemic, she co-created the first virtual arbitration’s platform (link).

She is a member of the Institut de Médiation et d’Arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ) and the vice-president of sectorial table of co-ownership (link).

Me Bodéüs is also responsible of the establishment of the evenings called “Speed-Condo” and “Sablier” whose objectives are to promote the right of the co-ownership to all the actors of the filed, including the outside of the metropolitan area. She lectures numerous conferences and gives trainings in the field of co-ownership, such as the training for the directors of co-ownership.

She is a writer of numerous articles and she also speaks in the media to answer current issues in co-ownership (links).

She is one of the leading professionals in terms of chairing annual general meetings on the virtual platform created by De Grandpré Jolicoeur in conformity with the government directives to counter COVID-19.
