  • Prior to the meeting, co-owners receive a connection guide and FAQ, as well as the connection hyperlink and personalized connection code (for digital media) or the telephone number to call (for landlines)
  • A co-owner holding a power of attorney only logs in with their personalized code
  • The quorum is calculated on the spot and the results of the vote are communicated on the spot
  • The taking of the votes and the calculation of the results take into account the quotas
  • All co-owners can exercise their secret vote, whether on a digital medium or by telephone
  • The virtual annual general meeting is recorded, which facilitates the drafting and notification of the minutes within 30 days as required by law
  • The chairman of the meeting grants digital speaking rights to the co-owners, by order of call

Virtual annual general meetings are a solution to end the difficulties of holding general meetings due to lack of sufficient quorum in the rooms. Under these circumstances, DJC is moving condominiums into the future by also developing a customized Building By-law to allow, but not require, the holding of virtual annual general meetings at any time, even after the pandemic.
