Me Clément Lucas is an associate lawyer at De Grandpré Jolicoeur L.L.P (DJC).

He represents and advises clients in various areas of real estate law, including law of divided and undivided co-ownership. He intervenes before the various judicial authorities as well as in arbitration proceedings, which are an important aspect of his practice in co-ownership.

Me Clément Lucas is also an arbitrator, notably in co-ownership and in the context of arbitration of the guarantee plan for new residential buildings (GAMM). He is also accredited by the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ) and by the Ministère de la justice de Québec (MJQ).

Me Clément Lucas acts occasionally as counsel in the context of appeal proceedings or when an expertise is required in real estate law, especially in divided and undivided co-ownership law. He equally acts as an intern and mentor to his peers and leads internal training sessions in this regard. He also acts as an external mentor or presenter for the judiciary, the public, members of other professional orders, etc.

In this regard, he has provided training or made presentations to certain courts, the Ordre des évaluateurs agréés du Québec, the Chambre d’assurance de dommages, the Quebec Bar Association and now the Canadian Bar Association. The training sessions have been and continue to be on various subjects, notably that of insurance in divided co-ownership, mediation and arbitration in co-ownership or the planning of major works in co-ownership.

He is the author and co-author of various publications and articles, including the monthly column of the Actualités juridiques en copropriété.
