Pierre-G. Champagne is the Managing partner at de Grandpré Joli–Cœur. He graduated from the University of Montréal in 1976 with “High Distinction”. Fellow of the Canada Arts Council, he obtained a Masters degree in Maritime Law from the University of London, England. He was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1978.
Me Champagne co-directs the litigation group of the firm. He is specialized in commercial, real estate and condo litigation. He excels in mortgage realization and disputes relating to the rights and duties of condominium corporations. He also practices in air law, maritime law, insurance law, public law and private international law. His commercial law practice includes the review and preparation of commercial leases and the purchase and sale of businesses.
Me. Champagne has appeared before all courts in Québec and was involved in the Supreme Court of Canada case:Amselem vs. Syndicat Northcrest, where he pleaded issues of Charter of Rights and Freedoms concerning the right to practice religion vs. the contractual obligations in a co-ownership
